Bass Player

What's the Story?

It has been a few months since I've finished a painting but sometimes you have to get away from it for a while to get better at it. I feel like I had time to think about the mechanics a little more so I've switched how I paint and this came out. It is probably my favorite now.

I really enjoy painting about music and this time, I wanted to give a little recognition to the bass player. He's the time keeper and everything can easily fall apart without him but nobody every really notices him I think. Well, here is my version of the bass player. I hope the colors and movement give the feeling of a traditional jazz club during a bass solo (a lively bass solo). That was the thought going into it.
